The notice was mailed on 7/7/05, received on 7/9/05 and court is 7/11/05 at 10:30. Of course I have the option of changing the court date, but this must be received at least 7 working days before the hearing.
It is a ticket for doing something a red arrow said not to do, like turning right or left when a red right or left arrow is facing you. The infraction apparently occurred on 6/11/05, but it does not give a time or place. It must be a red light camera, but I can't for the life of me figure out where in the hell it could have happened. On the 11th, I was studying for boards, and I can pretty much guarantee the only place I would have gone was the hospital, but on the 11th I did not have anyone in the hospital. I have a lawyer who is going to appear for me, but it is still a $361 ticket. If I did not happen to have an attorney to handle this for me, I would be forced to pay the ticket online, with a $31 "convenience" fee. I must say, Sacramento Co has a nice little income generator for themselves. BTW, this is my first ticket since 1995.

That sucks. If i lived in a state where they can write you tickets for something a camera caught, i get that stuff you can spray on your tag. You see it advertised in car magazines. I don't know what it's called, but i'd surely give it a try if i were you. It's suppossed to put a glare on your tag where a camera can't read it.
there are some of these yellow overtags that make it so you cant clearly see the plates at a certain angle but it's pretty much clear from behind.. suprised those arent illegal yet
