IT and networking peeps, gather up
My home network is behind a router. So I left my PC and laptops to have simple share instead. Both are under the same domain. I can open up each to see the shared drives and folders from the other. Here's the problem:
My laptop can see every shared drives and folders on my PC (XP SP2). It can open all the shared folders on the HDDs. HOWEVER, it can't open the DVD drives even though it sees that they're shared on the network. Keep giving me errors saying that I do not have permission.
However, I can open my laptop DVD drive on my PC and view the files in it just fine. I shared both the same way, same setup.
cany anyone give me some tips?
Thanks a lot
