i swap my transmission housing, and moved the gears from one transmission to another transmission because the housing on the other tranny was broken. so im just swapping tranny housing. i took the gear out and put it on the other tranny but im not sure if i did it right. i took a little less then half the gears apart..im like 80 percent sure its right but then again im not sure. the other problem is the casing, when i try to close back the casing. it would not close all the way in. theres like a half an inch space left. i dont know why it would not close. what i think the problem is that. the tranny i had was a 94 gsr tranny. that says ysk1 swapping into a ysk 2 gsr tranny. will that have anything to do with the cover not closing? does anynoe know where i can get a transmission diagram or can someone give me some resource...thanks

why would you tackle swapping transmission housings if your only 80 percent sure you did it correctly?

 

Did you try to repair broken housing?

The 2 housings are identical...you did something wrong. I hope you have a manual.
