Default what should I do about my situation?

Ok, here's the situation. My girlfriend's best friend made a comment to a buddy of mine a couple weeks ago about how he had been an ass to a good friend of hers about a year back. I guess he had disrespected the girl or something, yada yada yada. Anyway, my gf and I are supposed to go out for this guy's 26th b-day on Saturday with a bunch of people downtown. My gf is best friends with this girl so naturally she asked her to go with us. Well, I told my girlfriend that my buddy didn't want her friend to go because he would feel uncomfortable. So now my girl is a little upset about the whole situation. She thinks the guy is just being immature about it and he needs to get over it. I really want to go out with the guy and my buddies, but I don't want to piss my gf off. I also don't want to say "yeah, I guess your friend can come" since it's the guy's birthday and I don't want to piss him off either. What do I do about everything?

He needs to get over it...people move on...I'm sure the girl has. You should all just go.

Has your friend apologized to the girl that he disrespected? If not start there. :dunno:

Well, he hasn't talked to the girl in a long time. She was kind of "an easy pick up" at the bar. (i.e. he hit it and quit it). I mean, I doubt he even still has her number. I don't think my gf's friend even talks to that girl anymore. She just remembers how much of an ass he was to her.

It is his birthday, he should be able to pick the guest list. If he is a really good friend, you will put up with some shit from your GF, if not, you won't.
