The most effective launch has some wheelspin. But yeah it means your car is a weak pos if it can't spin tire, especially with an open diff. It doesn't really matter that much if your wheels and tires now are lighter, you probably have gripper performance tires now with a larger contact patch, so if it didn't spin before, it's not going to spin now. Your Accord must be automatic, that or your clutch is junk.

Yeah it's supposed to free up transmision plaque so the transmission oil filter could catch it
