Who will it be to replace her? Whoever it is, you can be sure there will be millions spent to oppose them. I am betting it is going to be another chick. The Supreme Court appointments were the biggest reason I was glad Kerry lost.
If Bush attempts to appoint a moderate, or even moderate conservative, if the person checks out, I see no reason to "obstruct", as your party puts it all so well. UNFORTUNATELY, given this president's history with such appointments, I feel there's a good chance he'll pick the farthest into right field, most radical judge possible. Then, he'll fight and bully every step of the way to push his partisan agenda to the court. What happened to cooperation and MODERATION?
Anyways, she was a fair judge (Appointed by a Republican president) who was a swing voter because she didn't allow a party mentality to interfere with her actions. She also voted against the eminent domain issue we talked about a little while ago.

Yeah, I liked Sandra Day O'Connor. Even though I didn't agree with a lot of her votes, she epitomized the "tough but fair" crowd. If Bush were to nominate another "moderate conservative" like her I think the Dems will confirm them without trouble.
Unfortunately, I too am afraid that Mr. Bush will nominate some far-right winger or a neo-con. Please, Mr. Bush, go for a moderate!

h: That's bad
