Yeah, them 5/8's are heavy. Especially the 54" wide ones, a 2 pack weighs about 305lbs.

I did drywall for two years both laying sheets as well as finishing work...both were hard on the arms and shoulders but got easy after a while.

I also did CNC saw operations at a custom closet company and regularly carried 100lb sheets of melamine and 140lb sheets of masonite around the shop. Normal night consisted of cutting about 6-8 units of 4'x8' sheets and loading them on carts, a unit consisted of about 40 sheets.

Yeah in both these jobs I was beat for the first month but once I got used to it I was never in better shape.

The hardest physical work I do at my job is occasionally standing up from my leather desk chair while I'm talking with some random dickhead executive.

At UPS, I lift approximately 100,000 lbs of boxes per night, and it's pretty easy by now. I've been there for three yrs. My back, shoulder and neck muscles are so big that they make me look disproportionate. Seriously h:. My arms and legs look so tiny in comparison that it's not even funny. At least it makes my gut look small :exnbp:

I never have to pick up anything that heavy, and if there is a pallet that I have to move then I just get a fork lift. Fork Lifts are fun to drive.
