Default Just ordered a Valentine One, user opinions?

So my Cobra 9120 broke, the speaker in it went out. So I get a new one from Cobra parts for like $8. I open the fucker up and the plastic that surrounds the two pins that connect the speaker have melted everywhere. I end up trying to pry off the plastic and well I fucked up the board.

It was only $100 and this was TWO years ago.

So I ordered the brand new V1 from valentine1.com with the new POP2 protection (doubt rural Arkansas has POP).

I've heard lately that the X50 from Escort and that R65 or whatever from BEL are "just about as good" as the V1. Those were all priced between like $230-300 (depending on retailer, etc)

So I said fawk it and ordered the V1. I know some of you own them, how do you like it?

I haven't heard anything bad about it, I NEARLY bought one but I opted for something else instead, can't remember what.

I've been using my V1 for a little over a year now and its been a real lifesaver. I don't know how good the pop protection is but i've been meaning to upgrade my v1.
