Default Acura repainting rear bumper...

My car was dropped off at acura this morning, because the paint on the rear bumper, where it meets the rear quarter panels is peeling (05 RSX). It will be covered under warranty.

However, do you guys think this damage (as shown in the pics) justifies a full bumper repaint? I'm skeptical about how the bumper/paint will look when its done..... the car doesnt go into the shop until tomorrow..i have an 04 TSX rental till firday.. what do you guys think? The pic shown is about a month old.. so more paint has peeled back since then... what do you think? I thinkt the rear bumper fits too tight against the bumper, so unless something is done about that.. paint will continue to rubb.

thanks
Sean

probably wont have a mismatch problem cuz the car isnt old enough to have significant fade. if it does mismatch, raise more hell :dunno:

mismatch also occurs from misformulation of the paint as well.

the shop its being sent to has a guarantee on all work regarding peeling, cracking etc.. for 5 years.

Im skeptical because my car is 3 months old + i don't want any visual signs it has had paint work.

Here's the website

With a color like that I don't think anyone is going to notice even if it is mismatched. They'll be averting their eyes anyway.

If they can tell that it will be mismatched they will probobly fade the paint into the trunk and side panels.
