Hey guys, had my first panic attack in a long time yesterday...man was it scary. I'm going to the Dr. today to see if I can get put on some medicine for this. It runs in my family and my mom, brother and I all have anxiety now. Which of you guys here have or have had panic attacks? h:

 

What exactly is a panic attack?

Like an extreme feeling of dispair and urgency maybe? Like having a massive problem and not having a starting place or knowing where to go X 10.

 

A "panic attack", as i understand it, is when something stressful forces someone into a panisc so extreme they have trouble breathing cause they are hyperventalating, and shake a lot sometimes even seizure....

 

Well, what runs in our family is you get a minor ache or pain somewhere for a couple days or so...you know just normal minor stuff and you sometimes think your dying. You get dizzy, lightheaded, your heart races, and you just want to break down. I've been coping with them for the past 7 or 8 years now. I'm finally going to the Dr. becuase enough is enough.

The attack could last anywhere from a few minutes to hours. The one i had yesterday lasted a good 3 or 4 hours.
