but didnt jjang say that it wasnt drivin hard? im 16 and have 2 years driving xp on a stick...mine didnt catch fire or anything...so id say its mechanical...even if he DID drive it hard thats BS that all that stuff happend...cuz my tegs got 200k+ miles and i still drive it hard at times and no fires or squeky brakes and no slipping clutch!

Absolutely. Over time, they just come unstaked and loosen... it's basically a thin 36mm axle nut. If left unattended, it can destroy the whole 5th gear set. Worst case scenario, there are reports of them blowing out the trans case.

People say what they want to say, I highly doubt he was with him in the car every minute since new. How can you compare a 130HP LS teg one wheel spinner, to an EVO it has over twice the HP and all wheel drive what’s the weak link going to be when you have that many tires hooking up? I say the clutch or the transmission.

I still say operator error

Not in the true sense of the word, but the platforms do have similarities and where still co-op cars.

At least the 3S's were made in Nagoya. :chuckles:
