Default FINALLY!...MR2 problems already! help?

i already posted my problem on MR2oc.com...

when i started my car i heard this awful rolling rattle/grind/yucky sound coming from the turbo area of my car. i pulled the compressor inlet tubing to check for shaft play and there is none.

i'm entertaining ideas from the turbo guys.

Check for leaks. Is this the original turbo?

I whole-heartedly agree. Badass rides, but I wouldn't have the patience to maintain/work on them.

Yeah, I bet its partly due to being paranoid. Everytime I change something on the teggy I am convinced that something is different from the last time I drove it, in a bad way.

Lawrence, I thought I heard similar sounds all day upon start-up on Monday :dunno:

Good luck, let us know.

i think i figured it out. i think the catalytic converter (which is RIGHT under the turbo) may be dying and breaking loose inside.

1) take cat out of car
2) broom handle to break up all the bits inside the cat
3) put back in car
4) PA only has visual inspections on cat. converters
