plenty of resources online. what are you looking to do specifically? i mean, do you want to go full bore, or are you trying to address a specific issue?

you can always learn it, but to make any practical use out of it, you also have to know another programming language to interface with it - like java, php... and in those languages, be able to deal with data in potentially huge quantities. it's not as simple as just learning SQL

there are also some differences between SQL, MySQL, oracle sql, and any other structured query language out there. they're all mainly the same, but there are some subtle but important differences between all of them

start with the basics then. like i said, there are a ton of resources out there. punch up "sql tutorial" on google, and start clicking through the thousands of results. i'd consider myself to have a fairly advanced knowledge of T-SQL (think microsoft), as mayonaise said, they're similar for the most part.. so feel free to ask specific questions as you hit any obstacles.
