hi, female input here on pg 3.... between the two id pick the purse...ill expand beyond purses and shoes.. u guys r funny, and its enlightening to see so much input from guys.. i didnt think guys had much interest beyond movies, video games, cars, food and sex.. i appreciate han frodo's input and effort.. he will make a girl very happy one day with his thoughtfulness..

so lets get started, some girls are very 'PICKY' about their purses and shoes. i come from a family of 5 girls, we are each different. im not a brand whore but i have my preferences ie purchased from a department store not kmart...i have both coach and dooney&bourke purses.. my everyday purse is a coach.

personally, i wouldnt spend $1000 on either. styles change monthly anymore.. your selections for your girlfriend are casual and she will like them.. its very beneficial to go with her in making selections. not me personally, but ive seen some women burst into flames when they receive the wrong items.. alot of a woman's identity is tied into her purse more so then her shoes....formal purses are smaller and usually one color..u can find an acceptable purse for a few hundred.. shoes much less.

for $1000 u could get her a few purses and shoes so she could rotate them.. summer purses/ shoes and winter purses/ shoes.. special occasion ones..

dress watches i like seiko and coach... coach has shoes, sunglasses, belts, wallets...liz claiborne on sunglasses/wallets too.. coach has the best affordable everyday leather ive seen.. db did for a while now they are getting back to it.. the thread about knockoffs is true.. fleece markets/ebay are full of them.. the dbs ive owned have an id number stamped in them and card to register the purse.. theft of the items too.. dont get her anything that if someone stole it, it would break her heart and a wallet buster to replace..

if u can tell me what she will use the purse and shoes for i can help u narrow down your choices.. is she going to use it everyday? daytime and nighttime? special occasion or ball game? work an/or school? what does she have now?

she likes the jessica simpson purse? that is everyday.. what size does she prefer? some purses u cant fit a wallet in much less a set of keys license cellphone mace..kidding on the mace..i throw my hair brush in the glove box.. does she strictly want logo print or will a solid color do? what colors does she like? summer is usually light colors.. winter dark leather.

i specifically picked this purse/bag, because my gf already told me that she likes this particular one.
as for the amount of money it costs... if im gonna get her something thats somewhat expensive, i want to get her the nicest thing i can.
she doesnt own a single fake thing. i would never get her anything fake. as for being it stolen, theres nothing i can do about it if it ever does happen. but i dont worry about that when deciding to purchase. its like a car... im not gonna stop myself from buying a nice car just because im scared itll be stolen and expensive to replace.

she will probably use it pretty frequently...not "everyday", but pretty often. right now, she uses two bags the most... one is her classic brown LV monogram "alma" bag, and the other is the all black versace bag that her parents and i paid for. she doesnt like small bags. she likes the size that would fit her make-up pouch, cellphone, wallet, and keys.
