as for the m coupe are you looking for the S54? if so, don't expect a deal.
It's holding value very well, eh? How much did new/used ones run for in Cali?

the last S54 that came up for sale sold for $42K. that's only 3K below new. this car had 7K miles on it.

most S54 will sell for low the mid 30K.

S52 is holding stead at mow to mid 20K. even ones with 80K miles are selling at 22K. this is a nation wide average not just in CA. there aren't enough cars to see a trend for just CA.

I want something that is about fun- screw practicality.

My list is long:
996 C2 (LOVE IT, but might be too soon..)
350Z (Friends already have it...)
Z4 3.0 (Can't get over the fact it's made in Mexico...it is right?)
Mini Cooper S (It's so fun to drive and this is the perfect age for it)
New Miata (Lacks the speed, but I always liked Miatas)
C5 Z06 (Can't get over the hideous interior...)
M Coupe (Can't find any with the good engine for sale up here  )

If only Evolution's were for sale in Canada....that would instantly solve the problem. Notice the similarities in the Evo and my name.
Must be nice to have a list like that.

Thanks. Well, if you see any on the bimmer forums could you PM me? I'm on the lookout in Canada but nothing so far. I regret not picking up a girl's M coupe when she sold it. h:

The duck/shoe really growing on me...want to post more pics of yours?

if you are willing to buy a used car from the US, why not buy a new evolution from the US if that is what you want :dunno:

I found it! I was looking at a 996 and found an MR2 in the back of the shop. 1/6th the price. Saves so much money for modifications!

92 MR2.
MINT condition, no rust, US vehicle. Beautiful body...just needs an engine swap. Current engine actually has low mileage. My mechanic has ok'd it. Beautiful, beautiful body.

Should I get it?
8k US inc. taxes (10K CDN w/taxes that are 15%)

lawrence almost inspired me to give up on the civic and go for a mki mr2 for my autocross beater, but after a little research, I think I'm better off with the civic

Get the mr2, use your leftover dough to buy a solara v6 and a trd supercharger

:edit: although 8k does seem pretty steep for a mr2 in need of a swap:thinking:

How much do non-turbos run for in the states? It has 100k miles and a clear title. I'm not really concerned about the engine because I have plans for a swap. New clutch and everything- it feels really good and peppy.

Solara. I don't think I can get four parking spaces in my condo when I move in. h:

no, i mean find an engine from a solara and put it in your mister two... Fits like a glove and weighs practically the same as the turbo motor. Then throw on a trd supercharger and squeeze off 50 shots
