how does pumping gas work?

Default how does pumping gas work?

I mean when you fill up... it automaticly stop when your resevoir is almost full but how does that work?

i think theres a valve or some sensor close to the end of the pump which probably stops it from pumping more gas in when the level of gas has reached to the pump.

Well, there's little tiny people that live & work inside the gas tank. Their job is to tell the pump when the tank is full. They have a secret language that nobody can hear except for the gas pumps. The same thing works for when your low fuel light comes on. These guys are monitoring the fuel level and when it gets down to a certan level they flip the switch turning the low fuel light on.

I'm pretty sure it's a combination of mechanical engineering and magic.

You know the little gremlin in your refrigerator that turns off the light when you close the door? Well his cousin lives in your gas tank and he is the one that tells the pump to stop
