My first credit card had a limit of 750$ student card. I maxed it out at a bar. All the lines were the same:

That really sucked... specially since the pub did not pass the card electronically so it actually went over the 750 limit

 

My first was also a student card... $500 at first but after nine months moved on to the big time... $800.

 

My CC i have now is my frist one, Its a MC with a 1000 credit limit thru my bank

 

Preapproval? Or actual account with that limit? h: Pretty friggin high for a first card.

My first card was a Macys card with like a $300 limit. :uhhok: First Visa had a $500 limit.

i first signed up for a card when i went to college. they actually sent me 2 each with a $1000 and i maxed them both out the first month. took me like 5 years to pay it all off.

 

Chances are you're either simply an "authorized user" on the account, (in which case no credit is actually reported on your name) or she co-signed and has great credit.


Spend wisely. My first was through my bank in the amount of $1000 I am intense about my credit, always pay on-time etc. Believe me it pays off when you want to finance toys/cars/house/etc.

Now I get offers everyday for fixed 5% cards etc.

 

$500 limit and that's all I need at this point.
