You know... all of my money goes into the car and after every upgrade. I promise myself that I would stop spending it on the car for a few months. I've got 6'5 alpine 2-way speakers ($99) w/ a kenwood deck 50w4. I had every intention to stop there on audio, just a mild "better then stock" set-up.

My dad then gives me this cheap optimus amp 400 watt (radio shack amp). so figured it would be fun to just wire the amp and maybe power my speakers. Realizing i have cheap two ways and would blow them, I get component speakers... wired that up, now i want a sub / better amp.

see how it works? everything is just $200-300 bucks away and each paycheck is a new toy. Awful... where's the willpower?

Just think how much fun it will be when you get fired for not coming to work for a week because your car is broken down and you have no money or way to get it to a shop. Then you'll have to have it towed to the shop and then get fixed, then sit there for another 2 weeks while you wait for the backpay paycheck to come in so you can pay the mechanic to release your car.... yea. That'll quickly halt any kind of upgrades for a long while.

It did for me! Once I realized that my car is in such bad shape, that anything could go and I'd be fucked.

 

Yea.. I need to get back into my old hobbies that are cheaper, "tennis, swimming, knitting."

 

heh...my car is needs right now so i kinda HAVE to spend money.

 

im dying to drop my rsx on teins. the day will come, however, that will cause me to want wheels, kit etc... the story is never ending
