Hey we east coasters are not out of danger either. Apparently there was a HUGE landslide thousands of years ago that created a tsunami the height of the Empire State building off the coast of Iceland or Greenland created when a volcano erupted.

We're screwed too someday.

And then there's the Atlantic technonic shelf that will also create a tsunami!

Orange County has the 8th largest economy in the United States, behind Los Angeles (2nd) and Boston (4th) and ahead of the Twin Cities (12th) and Seattle (13th).

With a population of nearly 3 million people and an estimated annual gross county product of $127 billion, if we were a country, we would rank No. 33.

And if you converted that gross product to account for the prices there, it would buy you a milk shake and a couple items off Wendy's 99 cent menu.

It's not flat like too boards. The plate can fall/crumble and cause a tsunami. We studied this back in geology and was on Discovery recently.

Yes the Pacific plate is more prone to it because the run into each other, but there have been recorded earthquakes on the Atlantic shelf.
