I like MR2s so don't get me wrong about my comment but I would never buy one in your current financial situation.

Seriously man I would get a decent dependable little car and not some turbo mid engine headache like an MR2.

I hear they are a total bitch to work on.

Is it LSD? I'm not feeling the color too much. :ugh:

Yeah they are a bitch to work on. A couple friends of mine got rid of theirs because everytime they wanted to fix or add anything on they were dropping the engine to do even the simplest bolt ons.

Its not really that you have to drop the engine but there really is no other way to work on the engine without doing it.

Dude all I can say is if you really want it then go for it. Afterall you'll be the one spending time in it.

I like what I know about the model, but I'm not really feeling the color either though.

John, between my mutual fund account and my insurance settlement and what I plan to get for the Integra...i can afford it.

and i like this color a lot compared to the red and white MR2s that seem to be the only ones for sale.

I know you can afford the car that isn't the issue...hell I could walk out right now and buy a Lamborghini Gallardo and a years insurance with no problem, it's the amount of upkeep that will eat you alive.

I am just saying keep that in mind. Wasn't trying to be a dick but I hate when people jump into these kinds of things and 6 months later they suddenly realize it was a huge mistake and have lost a ton of money in the process at a bad time.

Offer $7000 if he doesn't agree, firmly offer $7500. Great choice in my opinion Lawrence Good luck. If you need any real experienced advice let me know my friend owns a 91 Turbo MR2...

i know exactly what you mean. my friend has a 91 turbo and i've helped him numerous times work on it - not so much maintenance but upgrades. i don't plan to modify it (if at all) until i'm done school and have a steady income.

:chuckles: We all say that, until we have some spare cash.
