computer prob... my hd is reallly slow
I don't know why, but my hard drive is acting slow. I use it primarily for video processing and video storage. I have several dvd images, and the hard drive cant keep up with my burner. It takes about 25 minutes to transfer a dvd image to the hd that works on my computer. Vid editing is extremely slow with this HD.
I have ran avg antivirus, lavasoft adaware, spybot search and destroy and there's nothing that shouldn't be there. I went to the properties of the drive to error-check, defrag, and troubleshoot in the device properties and that didn't help. Does anybody have any ideas as to what the problem could be, or ideas on how to troubleshoot?

how big is the HD? what brand/speed? Might just be time to upgrade. Video processing eats hella resources. there's alot of factors that could be causing it.
If the hard drive is close to full, that will slow read speads down considerably.
