Well yes, but I also get more screen space. The 17" was junk, it couldn't even run 1280x1024

I've had a 19" CRT for years, waiting to have enough cash for a bigger LCD, but nothing is wrong with my CRT. Have a hard time spending money to replace something that works so well. Best res on mine is 1600X1200 but it is old, at least 6 years.

 

true. but what i ment was desk space. there is only so much desk to work on and a 19" would take up a nice corner of it. i not a big on rims, but dont most 19" fit into the wheel well space provided?

true. well be happy you got an upgrade. at work i am using some pos 15 flat screen thats resolution is 1024x728, granted the video card prolly sucks but i cant even see enough of the excel work sheet to do any work.

 

I upgraded to 19" LCD 2.5 years ago because my CRTs were dying/dead. 21" viewsonic would only turn on 1 out of 10 tries and the cheapo 19" had a green tint that was just getting worse.
