I'm going to be in a wedding this summer and I had to get a tux fitting last night. $130 for a tux rental for one day!!!! what kind of scam is that? not even a rental car cost that much for a one day rental. I actually own a tux, and I get pissed when I'm forced to rent one for a function like that. I could go to K&G and buy a tux for $130 and it will fit way nicer, and be more comfortable than any rental. I'm going to have to wear another tux for my sister's wedding comming up, but at least her fiance' and I are going to go out an buy the tux. We'll both actually use the tux more than once so thats why we're going to buy them. I gig a lot and I wear a tux 2-5 times a year, so it pays for it self after the 2nd time I wear it.

 

If you feel it is such a ripoff go buy one for about $500. Then anytime you need one you've got one. After 4 functions you've got your money's worth.

but I've already got a tux(which needs to get altered), and the tux I'm going to get for my sisters wedding will be way cheaper than $500, and I'll make my money back on it after wearing it 2 times.(wedding, and a gig with my big band) K&G has real cheap prices on everything. they sell Ralph Lauren Chaps suits for $130, so I'll be able to get a tux for real cheap money there. I bought a suit on sale there for $70, and it is a real nice suit. I'm such a cheap bastard that I don't think I could ever justify spending more than $200 on a suit or tux.
