Now I Fully Understand Irony...
Well...about a month ago I had a truck recap from an 18-wheeler get slung onto my Integra causing about $1,800 worth of damage. Part of the damage (That I got money for from the insurance company) was for a new windshield...which I really didn't need one because there we just little tiny chips, nothing had went all of the way through and they were barely noticeable. Well the insurance company gave me money to replace it anyways. Well I used part of the money for the windshield and the money for my new hood and bought a Carbon Fiber Hood. All is good, until yesterday...I was on the way to the bowling alley for $0.25 games when all of the sudden, a rock flew and hit my windshield while doing 70 mph...fuck. Now I have to get it replaced, but I can't ask my insurance company for money to replace it b/c they already did a month ago. So now I have to get one and pay it out of my pocket. That's what I get for getting a CF hood, dammit.
how much did you spend on a cf hood? most are cheaper then getting a oem hood from honda/acura. just wondering

well ... think about it.
If you replaced the windshield when you should have, you'd still have to replace a piece of glass only a few weeks old. I would have rather have gotten a new hood than swap out a part I just paid for.
or you could have saved the original $ for a rainy day, but nobody ever does that.

Then again a brand new windshield may have taken the impact without cracking. One that had been comprimised wouldn't.
That is pretty messed up how that all happened. But don't spent too much time with what if. Remember the slightest things can have a huge affect on the outcome.
