computer peoples....
Cold shut down. Try that. When I first installed my Western Digital 120GB SATA drive I was getting those errrors like mad. Then all of a sudden they stopped. Drive is working perfectly fine and all the files seem just fine also.
Around the time that it stopped giving the errors, I had uninstalled AVG. AVG seemed to cause lots of problems.

my music is on different drives. i have a 40 gig (the one thats fucking up) for my pictures, games and apps
a 120 that has a 10 gig partition for XP system files
the rest of that 120 is music
and then another 120 that is only like 1/3 full that is all music.
anyway. ive had this drive since like... 2000. its an IBM deskstar. nice ass drive. i hope its not crapping out on me :wiggle:

eewwe..
ok .. no prob. If you have been working fine with this HD up until now .. I would first run some general maintenance on the drives (specially that big one)
before you start taking things apart or replacing drives.
Run scandisk / disk clean up / defrag / etc. on the drive first ... (PLEASE ONE APPLICATION AT A TIME) cant tell you how many times students come up here and have crashed drives.
Also might want to restructure the media HD into different partitions .. its a bit cleaner and easier to maintain
