I just went to the local grocery store to pick up something and there was a huge line. I luckily got stuck behind a loud and obnoxious girl talking on her cell phone. No one wants to hear your business out loud while you curse and make stupid remarks. And how rude is it to continue your conversation while you do your transaction. The clerk finished with her and said "May I help the next person please?" Then the girl stopped her very important cell phone call and said "what about my receipt?"

Clerk: It's printing now. I'm just keeping the line moving.
Me: :chuckles:

Why must people insist on doing this? Don't you think it's rude to be on your cell phone in situations like that. If I get a call when I'm in line I'll either ignore it or tell them I'll call right back. h:

If I'm at the store I won't call someone while I'm in line but if someone calls I'll talk to them.

 

Happened to my roommate last week, only the guy on the phone was holding up the entire line...it was his turn for checkout and the cashier was waiting for him to pay. She tried to talk to him to get him to pay, and he waved his finger at her like "just a second." So my roommate walked up behind him and hung up his phone.

i never get reception in stores, so i don't talk on my cell.

what i hate, is the girl in the next dressing room talking to her girlfriend about "omg and he said this and that and.. " i didn't come to the mall to try on jeans and hear about your sorry life.

 

we just ask to help the next customer in line and the person on the cell gets hella pissed.

 

i hate it.
