it varies in SD, some are 7th and 8th, some are 6th-8th

k-5th = elementary
6th-8th = middle school
9th-12th = high school

thats how it worked for me...we don't really have jr. high.

I've always known middle school as 6th-8th.

that's how it was for me. Went to junior high from 7th-8th. Although, my junior high ended up being 6th-8th.

when i was in kindergarten out in Wissahicken, PA..that school had k-6.
