Default Copy Harddrive to Harddrive?

Would it be possible to copy all the information from one harddrive to another?

Any programs that would allow me to do it one time for free?

Need more info. Why not just add the new HDD as a file system drive and copy everything over? Seems very simple, but maybe you need more that just that. :dunno:

One of our computers is giving an error that says it cannot run Windows because it's missing some files in the System folder.. all we did was unplug it and move it, I have no idea why it's doing this, but I was wondering if i could take that hard drive and just copy what I have on this computer to it.. Because this computer has no problems. :dunno:

No. Unless they have the EXACT same hardware.

Exactly. All the drivers for EVERYTHING on the computer are now not able to be used because the HDD is in a different computer. The solution if you want to keep the files intact is to pull the files off of the HDD giving you problems using a secondary HDD. Reformat the drive giving you problems installed in the computer you want it in so that it will load the proper drives with the OS for the MB and other hardware devices.

You can't just slap a HDD with an OS on it into another box. No workie.

If you've got an Apple it will work, it's called "cloning" in Apple-terms, or "Ghosting" in PC terms.

It sounds like you don't though, so I won't even go into the steps.
