Default anybody use a Treo?

im thinking i might probably get a Treo pretty soon.... just a 600, no need for the extra features the 650 offers. maybe if the price difference was < 100$ but to me its not worth it.

anyway, if you have one or have used one what did you think about it? likes/dislikes etc.

I had a Treo 600 over a year ago. If you're using it for business for sending/receiving emails and taking calls, I wouldn't recommend it. The GoodLink Service is horrible. If you're sending/receiving email and someone attempts to call you, theres a 99% chance that it will go straight to your voicemail. Or if you're on a call, email will not come through. This phone may be alright though if you're just using it for personal use. Just don't drop it, it can be easily broken.

I have a Treo 650 and so far I love it. The Bluetooth capabilites are awesome...no need for wires to sync it to my computer (although you will need a Bluetooth adaptor) and it will work with certain cars and wireless accesories that are Bluetooth capable. As for the performance it is great. The phone is the phone but you can surf the Net at speeds up to 56K, which on a phone is pretty good. It is not WiFi capable but sending and receiving email is fine as is surfing the Internet if there are not a lot of pictures. The color screen is awesome too with the resolution very, very good. Not to mention I have all my contacts and calandar entries in one place and do not need to lug a phone and PDA with me.

for me i just really want the PDA and phone capabilities, chances are i wont ever use it for email etc. i know that seems stupid to some but id like to have a more usable organizer with my phone and like you said ^ i dont wanna haul both around. if data service wasnt so damn expensive, id be more inclined to get it and have email capabilities but i hardly get email on my computer, i couldnt justify paying an extra 30 bucks a month to get it on my phone.

If you go with Sprint you can get their Vision service for $14.95 a month and use your existing minutes for the voice and data. With free nights and weekends you have a lot of time to use the data features. I am such a geek I surf the Internet on the train ride to and from work. I really am addicted to the Internet. h:
