It's about accurate. I hope you know how much our government subsidizes our gasoline use. Also, over there, they tax gasoline an amount comparable to the cost of cleaning up after it's use. Thusly, it comes out to about $8-12 per gallon internationally.

Liverpool is Cool.
Santa Barbara, I was there earlier this year when it was pissing it down (January)

You should see the games they play (the government not the British in general), trying to bump up the prices on some cars. Even compared to Europe the Brits have had it rough for a long time. Then there's the insurance to worry about, plus having your pride and joy nicked by some Chav..

yep it definetly is accurate. It pisses me off when people complain how expensive gas is here yet everywhere else it is 3 to 6 times as much.

Never been to Liverpool. I usually haunt around Salsibury, Cambridge, and London when I'm over there, but I haven't in aout 7 years. It's where my family's friends are

Santa Barbara is a great town once you get used to the cost of living. Last week we had some beautiful early summer weather, complete with the AVP tournament and a total hottie attack downtown. Piles of beautiful women wearing skimpy clothing

And yeah, I'm unusually well informed about Euro politics for an American, and I credit a lot of that to my Danish girlfriend

:jawdrop: We agree!!! :reechy:
Hehehe... we probably agree on more things than we normally give on... but seriously. Gas is super cheap here in the US, compared to the rest of the civilized world. It's not that we're more efficient about purchasing oil; it's cause our government heavily subsidizes it, and most people never realize this...

government does the same for farmers and passenger train service but no one is ever mentions those.
i mean so what if its subsidized, it's our tax dollars that is used to subsidize it so we're still paying for it one way or another. we just happen to have a huge tax paying population that allows such subsidy to occur.
