Yup that's right, I'm gonna be big ole important quasi-executive type dude (my title is Account Executive h:)! I was originally supposed to start training on the 17th but the manager guy who was going to be training myself and one other person who was hired with me had to go to some meeting at the home office in Chicago and thus training was moved back to tomorrow, the 23rd. But the company did right by me and put me on the payroll as of the 17th since that's when I was supposed to have started.

I'm gonna be working for a company that runs corporate hospitality at all kinds of sports events. Our schedule includes most of the PGA Tour, the Super Bowl, the US Open (tennis), Canadian Grand Prix, Indy 500, Baseball All Star Game, NCAA Basketball tournament, the list goes on. We also do corporate adventure tours like deep sea fishing off the Florida Keys, golf trips, white water rafting, ski trips, and the Porsche Driving Experience.

My job is to work with VPs or chiefs of marketing and human resources at companies with a minimum of $100 million in annual revenue, to pitch our services to them, and then once they bite help them pick out what events they might want to take big clients to or to have as perks for their own employees. I write up the contract, get everything set in motion for their accomodations as part of the contract, and act as their contact at the company for any future needs they might have.

So um yeah, hopefully I'll have some mods for my car in short order. :rick:

Wow. So I don't have to be at work til 9:30. I set my alarm for 7:45 (right about now) but I couldn't stay in bed past 7. So now I just have to chillax and get ready to go.
