I used to drive down the road holding the keys in my hand for everybody to see...but then again, I was 16 at the time and thought that was cool to do.
It comes in handy though...say you left something in your house, but you've already locked up and started your car, you can take the keys (with your car still running) and go back into your house and get what you forgot.
