Default My smoke detector keeps beeping

I see NO battery inside it either, it's wired up to the house. How do I shut it up? h:

We had a similar problem at a friends apartment, though the solution was rather barbaric..... we ripped the whole unit off the ceiling :chuckles:

our apartment had hard-wired detectors too. just turn it, pull it down, pull the harness, teh win

make sure a breaker isnt tripped in your panel

put in a batery and it should stop beeping, battery's are always suggested cause candles are the number one cause of fires and 90+% (guess) of people burn candles when the power goes out, and therefore it's not a good idea not to have a backup
