is it proper to dress up or just show up?

and if you do dress up what should i wear specifically?

depends on who it is.

relative = little bit nicer stuff (tucked in shirt, maybe tie)

friend = collared shirt, not necessarily tucked in

pretty much how I feel about it.

when I went to my best friends graduation I just wore a polo and some khakis...it looks nice and its comfortable...and they know you didnt just roll out of bed and head on over

At my little brother's graduation I wore dress slacks with a shirt & tie. But I had to wear that to work afterwards anyway. h:
