friends and I have always used the old goatse.cx to, I guess you can call it prank people. We would always disguise the URL in order to get people to click on it. We'd setup redirects from one site to another using just a URL, so people would think it would be a yahoo.com or amazon.com link, click it and get a screen full of goatse.cx.

It was great times... we had way too much fun doing it. So when goatse.cx was taken down, it prompted us to find out what other goatse.??? domains exsisted. goatse.net wasn't taken and like the immature people we were (at least at that moment) I snatched it up as kind of a joke.

So I had that domain just sitting under one of my hosts, not doing anything... I got another host at a great rate, just couldn't pass it up, and needed a domain to park there. Didn't feel like coming up with yet another domain, so I just transfered goatse.net to it as a place holder untill some better use presents itself. Now I just use it for hosting files here and there to share with people.
