Really? I used to able to rape my accord with huge burnouts. Thats one thing I do miss, being dumb and burning out tires with the fwd. h:

looks pretty cool, it's more fun to see reddish smoke than white anyway. At least the tires themselves aren't red. Now that would be rice h:

I remember hearing about those tires...especially when Scott Oldham at SCC wrote an editorial about the legal hassles BFG was encountering.

Back in 99, some concerned "citizen's group"[] called the League of California Cities got all pissy about a tire that could leave a colored burnout mark on asphalt.

According to Oldham's editorial in SCC, the CLC even filed motions to ban the sale of tires outright, claiming the product advocated "irresponsible" driving...

Basically, the CLC gave BFGoodrich hell, forcing them to scale back sales of the Scorcher tires in California. That's why the tires were such a rare find out here. And I think they ended production a few years ago. h:
