.40 caliber or 9mm?
I am gonna be getting a hand gun and I have it narrowed down to either a 9mm or a 40 caliber, is there any reason to go with one over the other? Just for the sake of argument, let's say they are the same price and made by the same manufacturer, what one would you choose and why?
This is the cool thing about Oregon, you can get a concealed weapons permit:yay:

Seriously though, I'm just taking advantage of my right to bear arms, you never know when you will be in a situation where you'd need it for protection. With home invasion robberies becoming more common place, it'd be nice to know I have some firepower on my side.

Have you tried shooting both? I'm no expert at guns... First time shooting last weekend. 2 .45 cals and a 9mm. I liked the 9 a lot because it was light, but I was a lot more accurate with the .45 for some reason. If I ever get a gun (which is extremely unlikely) I'd go with the .45.
Since you can get ammo at Wal-Mart now, I'd probably get the 9 and get a lot of ammo to just practice with it...
