ill take it to a few shops this weekend. I don't want to resort to painting the panel/blending unless i cant get it looking 1/2 decent. Because as it is.. its not THAT bad to warrant repainting the panel. he said u will definately know the panel's been redone because the orange metallic paint is tough.
I have found that matching metallic paint can be easier on older cars (due to it being harder to tell the paint has faded). Since yours is new, it would be moderately difficult but not impossible. I'd run away from that shop and see a few others--it can be done.

Today after a trip to Home Depot in my gf's parents 4dr 95 teg, she (my gf) pulls into the driveway next to the rsx kinda close and he gets out of the driver seat rear seat, pops the door open and puts a fat ding just above the passenger side rear tire!
I was sooooo pissed.

Samson, if you lived by me, I could fix it. I had to do that on my old integra. Didn't take long. Of course I already had sand paper for wetsanding and access to a buffer and 3m glaze. Other than that, just polished it and it came out decently. From 3ft away, it was hard to tell :irock:
