Default Am I being scammed? *ebay*

So I am selling this brand new IBM T42 laptop on ebay listed at $1600 dollars. It retails for 2200. I got this strange email today:

Dear Seller, My Name is Oluremi Olusoji I live United States, my Cell Phone Number is *** *** ****, am writing you on behalf of the item you placed on EBAY. Am willing to offer you US$2400 for the item: ********* I need the laptop very fast for my Daughter who school in Africa an she needs the laptop for her Final Year project over there, but due to the Nature of my Job I won't be Available to receive the Laptop here in States and send it across to her in Africa, so I want you to send the Laptop Directly to her in Africa. Please make enquiry about the shipping cost to Nigeria Africa by USPS [Global Express EMS 3-5 Days Delivery] and get back to me with the shipping cost so I can make your Payment to you in full. My Method of Payment is Western Union Bid Pay, which is a Money Order that will be issue on your name by Bid Pay and it will be send to you at your contact home address for delivery. Best Regards Oluremi Olusoji.

Now I was thinking since its a money order it would be safe and I could wait for the money order to go through ya know? Let me know.

Jon

I would say it's a scam. unless you get the money in hand before it ever leaves your posession, things like this are always scams.

Being that both Nigeria and money order are mentioned, I would say it's probably a scam.
