I am still running on the 10d 1.0.0 firmware and really see no need to update unless something truly major is added to it.

true enough. Nikon says they are updating the d70 firmware with new functions and features on the d70s. I'll probably go check out a d70s and see if there is anything that would benefit me before updating.
