Anybody been to the Salton Sea?
Thinking about going there for a few days to do some shooting and check it out. I have seen pictures and read articles on it and it has always interested me.
So, has anybody actually been there?

Its a really cool area to take photos of vacant homes, burned out cars, not a place you would want to live, its about 118 in the summer and smells like rotten eggs.
The feds just need to plug the leak, because the Salton Sewer was cause by something man made.

The biggest mistake ever...a huge man-made lake in the desert of SoCal. It was supposed to be a resort/vacation destination, but went south. Now it's deserted, lots of run down buildings and such. My roommate has been out there...people offroad there. I wouldn't mind driving out there just to check it out a little bit.
