hrm i thoght so...some guy in there looked like him sorta..is he the 1st villian in the comic books? i thought it was joker?
Joker is the first villain, maybe they just felt that no one could play the Joker, or they'd rather make a Batman movie with a villain they've never used before.
Also, the other villain in this movie is Ra's Al Ghul. Lazarus pits like whoa :eek3:

Yep Joker was the original villian in the Batman comics and the only truely great villian ever made. They couldn't do him again because who in their right mind would want to try and follow Nicholsons portrayal of the Joker? It just couldn't be done without the comparisons being unfair and damaging to the movie.

no one has come close to matching Keaton as batman, yet they still make them. why not try to make another joker?
I dunno. Personally, I think Alan Cumming (properly slathered in makeup...) could make a decent Joker. So long as he doesn't overact the part to hell. It would require an excellent writer, though. But really it's not humanly possible to accurately portray the Joker. Maybe in the voice part it is really possible, but I'd say impossible in the physical sense.
On a personal note, I would fawking love to see a Joker played by some nobody who matches the character as best as possible physically and then voice dubbed over by Mark Hammil, Episode I stylie.
