wtf rental car company called, they want more deposit
wtf is this bullshit, i'm about to return the car in like four days and the $250 deposit they asked for wasn't good enough?

does it matter if you get it all back? did you use a credit card?

I didn't use a credit card, I did a cash deposit.
Yeah I know it's refundable, but I think it's silly that they're asking me for more even though they're well aware I'm returning this car on Monday. If they wanted a bigger deposit they should have asked in the first place.

I'd recommend speaking with the manager and ask them if it is necessary to bring in a deposit. don't talk to an employee, go straight to the manager and tell them your situation. they should let it slide.

Tell them you refuse to allow them to unilaterally modify the contract and therefore the original terms of the contract will govern the agreement. Tell them they will be liable for any and all damages in the event of their breach relating to the deposit provision.
Then tell them to eat a dick and you'll give em the car back in a few days.
