Changing an air filter every 6k is overkill IMO unless you drive on dirt roads often. But think of the trees man, a K&N saves the rainforest and keeps landfills free of debris. :hippy: Just kidding. I have a K&N in my civic and it's nothing much. I just needed a replacement air filter and decided to get it. Installation is super easy.

BTW, you have 470 posts and you don't know how to change a filter? I'm guessing most of your posts are in the basement? Hehe, not a big deal, just wondering.

you ass farts. I'm talking about CHANGING the stock filter VS NOT CHANGING the stock filter due to K&N.

stock air filters go every 6K ... K&N's get recharged every 10K to 15K

in the long run, you save a load of cash because you don't have to keep buying new parts.

dude I know that you are talking about changing the stock air filter. I would check those numbers because 6K air filter change is crazy.

hmmm. I'm going by my old dsm days ... I think that's what's doing it. I got the old car serviced and needed to swap out the filters every 2 oil changes like clockwork.

I see that most are changed between 8K and 10K.

I'm still surprised by that interval. BMWs interval is 60K for their regular none sports engines.
