 Trent Reznor never ceases to amaze me. every cd he's made has been well thought out both musically and lyrically, and each one retains a distinct NIN sound, yet none of them really sound the same.I dunno if there's already mp3's floating around of the full album, but somehow my neighbor aquired a copy of this (it's offically released May 3rd), and I made him burn me a copy (yes, I plan on buying it, so no I'm not a pirate, just impatient
h: )its amazing.
get it
Ever since his album with Perfect Drug on it I haven't been impressed. I have heard the single and was wondering who made him water his music down so much.
Old Trent is amazing stuff but his new stuff just plain sucks.

isn't that about the same time you stopped smoking pot?
:chuckles:but I thought that The Fragile (which is the only release trents had since the perfect drug single, other than a live album) is one of the best double cd's ever. It flowed perfectly. I'll agree there was some filler and it is a little long (its best listened to from start to finish, almost 2 hours), but I think it was all nessisary. pick up a 6 pack and give it a listen

the new cd kinda goes back to the sound from Pretty Hate Machine and Broken. There's alot of piano throughout, and for some strange reason, it's kinda pop-ish :dunno: but its not a bad thing, I think. It's just different, but the lyrics and dark undertones are still trademark NIN.

^ downward spiral
that one was crtically acclaimed. Won a grammy, I think.
that album isn't bad, but its not one of my favorites. that was more of a self-destructive period in his life, as you can tell from the songs and their lyrics.

I think I DLd Fragile listened to it and then deleted it off my drive shortly after.
I have heard the lead track off this album and am not impressed, if that is supposed to be the teaser for the albums sound then I will probably pass on buying or DLing this one as welll......of course I probably will check it out just out of morbid curiousity.
