IRC sucks, I will never use that outdated program ever again.

Its a haven for viruses, much worse than any other client based program I have used. Go into a room for 5 minutes and you are guaranteed to get some guy asking if you want to see the latest shots of him and his gf knocking boots. Half the DLs are useless or corrupted.

If you stick to scene releases for movies and music, its OK. I wouldn't use it for software.. but not much can really go wrong if you just go for music and movies if you are firewalled, have real time protection enable for antivirus, and dont have your DCC settings to allow all. imho.
