everytime i get out of my car and go to close the door, i touch the pillar and get shocked. EVERYTIME!!!

That sounds like as much fun as 35,000 volts through your hand from shitty rotted wires. Did it 5 times.

You build up a charge of static electricity from sitting on your cloth seats.

Mix 1 part liquid fabric softener (like Downy or whatever) with 3 parts water and put it in a spray bottle. Periodically give your seat a spritz with it. Should solve yer problem.
