What were you thinking?

If the rain would let up for a couple days more interesting birds would be available...guess the geese will have to do for now though.

Clouded day so it was pretty well diffused by clouds, in fact it started raining right after this shot. If you look at the top left corner it will give you a general idea of the suns location though.

I am not too happy with this shot actually.

Reason being the goose in the background is a bit soft, if I had paid attention I would have stopped down a bit more to get them both in perfect focus instead of just the one.

No, smaller.

If I had noticed it was at 4.5 I would have bumped it to 8 which would have given me both geese in sharp focus so that the DOF would drop off right behind the second one instead of right after the first.
