Dude, he knows he's deaf. I doubt he'll be offended if you tap him on the shoulder. Even if you just walk up to his desk, lean over and hang up the phone, then introduce yourself, it'll be fine.

Yeah I know he is deaf. I just didn't know if that was ok to do.
