Converting WMA files to MP3 format
what program can i use (and to download for free hopefully) to convert WMA files to MP3 format?

i must disagree, i still ike using DMC (dbPoweramp) just gotta find version 10 cause 11 only has LAME support for 30 days....

i use itunes.
it wont convert protected WMAs, though. you'd have to burn them as a music cd and then rip them as an audio cd.

I use something called MP3 WAV converter. Works both ways. Have to crack it though.

I use "Quintessential Player" to convert my CDs, and play MP3s. No trial, no nag screens, and free. It also consumes less resources than Media Player, so I can keep it running while I work.
